This midi sized charming vintage Steiff Original Teddy Bear was produced from 1951 to 1964 in this version with glass eyes.
Our Steiff bear here lost all ID’s, but has the distinctive Steiff shape with long arms, caramel (brownish-grey) coloured mohair of the highest quality, original vertically stitched nose, 4full set of original claw stitches, perfect felt paws, firmly stuffed with wood wool (excelsior), and the last open seam (stitched close by hand) where he was stuffed through sits on its belly, not on the back like with most other brands.

Old Steiff Original Teddy measures 28 cm / 11 inches standing and 23 cm / 9 inches sitting.
Sadly, the squeaker in its belly does not work anymore.
Otherwise, this rare vintage old Steiff bear is in very condition! Apart from losing the ID’s and a slight thinning of mohair on its forehead and over the left eye (pleas, see all photos!) this old Steiff bear is flawless!
