Here comes an antique doll stove made around 1915 of lithographed cardboard and tin parts. The old, unmarked doll cooker is three - hole design with a chimney in the middle of the back. The frame, feet, door in front, chimney, chimney crown and dishes are made of tin, all of them with traces of age. The stove is held together by metal clamps, all of them present and completely fine. The corpus and plate are made of cardboard, a in WWI often used substitute material, when all metal was used for the “war effort”, and so sparsely to come by for toy production.
The cardboard corpus is beautifully lithographed though with a red and off-white tile pattern, classical Greek leaf and “running dog” pattern as a frieze, and faux doors. The pattern is a bit faded on the front, sides and back have retained more strength in the colouring.
The pit with lid is missing its handles, the pot with handles has no lid, and the pan is completely fine.
The antique doll kitchen cooker measures 21 cm / 8 ¼ inches by 12,5 cm / 5 inches on the plate, 10 cm / 4 inches tall to the plate, and 23 cm / 9 inches tall to the chimney crown.
