Here comes an antique German bisque head character doll, made around 1926 by Heubach - Koppelsdorf. This beautiful girl doll with sweet chubby double chin and dimple has the mould number 342 as you can see in the photographs, the makers mark is on the back of the bisque head.
Our character girl stands 22 inches / 56 cm tall.
Old doll comes with her original dark human hair wig, she has brown glass sleeping eyes, some lid wax and all lashes are missing, the painted lashes are present. The bisque head is in excellent condition, the feathered eyebrows, open mouth with two teeth and tongue are all fine. On dolls left cheek a tiny bit of rouge is missing. Around the opening of the head some old glue rests remain and on the makers mark are some dark spots I could not remove.
As fine as the bisque head is – on the ball jointed wooden / composition toddler body of our antique doll the age is showing. As you can see in the photographs, the body is stable, and mechanically totally fine, but it suffered some restoration attempts, and is partly overpainted. I did not remove any of these old restorations, they belong to the history of the doll, even if we would do restorations quite differently by now.

Antique Heubach – Koppelsdorf doll comes with underpants and a fine embroidered dress from the 1950s. Her shoes are vintage, presumably from the 1970s. The velvet hair bow was added by me.
