Here comes an antique German doll, made by Revalo (Gebruder Ohlhaver 1912 - 1928) in the 1910’s or early 1920’s, a fine bisque head on a ball jointed wooden body, and 10 inches / 25 cm tall.
Our antique bisque head bears the maker’s mark: “Revalo 22 4/0”, the mohair wig is original and glued on. The bisque head is fine, with a slight smear on the forehead, multiple stroke eyebrows, fixed blue glass eyes, open mouth with two painted teeth. On the tip of the nose some little rouge is missing.
The girl has surprisingly big ears.
The composition / wooden body is fine with traces of age and I de – and reassembled it, so all elastics are fine, doll can hold any pose.
The doll dress was given her by me, it is a genuine antique piece and very fitting. Her underpants are vintage cotton, and the silk shoes are not original and not in the best condition.
All in all, the doll is in very good condition considering her age, she can sit perfectly and would be fine for your dollhouse!
