Kilnformed is a process of glass fusing-it's working with warm glass, which is between glass blowing(hot glass) and stained glass(cold glass) It's basically kiln glass hence it's name.
Steve Immerman is a native New Yorker, lived in Midwest. He is a general surgeon & surgical oncologist for over 40 years and has been working in glass for over 39 years. His work has been shown in many galleries throughout the US. and has won many awards.
A lot of his pieces are round. This piece is a curved elongated oval with rich red horizontal lines next to clear glass lines which allows the light to shine through, juxtaposed with a 4-1/2" orange mosaic and 1/3 of vessel is textured matte black. The front of this piece has a matte finish and the underside is high glass
