Exceptionally beautiful antique pendant of antique charms connected to a very large gold, repousse split ring filled with symbolism. Perhaps the most unique collection of charms I have sold, including a finely engraved pear that opens to reveal a glazed compartment. The other charms include a gold ratchet key, two carnelian hearts and a rotating carnelian roller.
The pear locket is 12 karat and symbolizes immortality, prosperity, grace and nobility. Exquisite engraving surrounds this rarity. The details are so impressive, including the bottom leaves of the fruit.
The very large gold split ring is 9 karat and has very fine gold work. It measures 1 inch diameter .
The other two split rings are 9 karat, one is an ourobourus (snake eating its tail) This symbolizes eternity.....eternal love.
There is a ratchet watch key, perhaps Breguet, in 12 karat gold.
The entire composition is in excellent condition with a beautiful rich gold patina.
Wear it with a chain or long cord. The chain shown is not included.
This is a rare offering, in superb condition. Eternal love, immortality, prosperity, are all represented.
