Gold

since 2013
Rare and original, these French, diamond earrings are circa 1830. The tops and bottoms all have the French gold guarantee stamp of a ram. This mark was only used during the years 1819-1838.

The rose cut diamonds are set in fine, silver crimped rub over collets. The earrings are 18 karat gold and the diamonds set in silver, typical of this period of design.

The earrings retain the original, secure back to front ear wires. The bottom drop articulates as does the center of the bottom drop, radiating light with every movement.

The approximate, total rose cut diamond weight is 1.84 carats.

They measure 1 3/8ths long X slightly less than 5/8ths cross the bottom. Each of the tops are engraved and numbered 182. The bottom drops are each numbered 183. This system of numbering guaranteed each piece to match and was used by the finest jewelry houses.

Rare and simply beautiful, they hail from a time where artisans took great pride in their creations. They would have been worn by a woman of stature to afford such a fine luxury.

They are completely original, in excellent condition.
