So very scarce, this small Georgian brooch is circa 1820. Often referred to as a lace pin,a type of brooch used to secure the popular , flimsy lace scarves in place. They were also worn as a fine small accent on collars and dresses.
Finding one with enamel, diamonds and natural pearls is a joy.
This pin has finely cut rose diamonds of a forget me not flower with gentle tendrils also set with rose diamonds. The perimeter has natural, perfectly matched white pearls. The pin has a dark blue enamel ground. It is in remarkable, original condition considering its
200 year old journey.
It measures 1 inch across x 7/8ths down. So perfectly elegant worn on a shirt, sweater or lapel.
