This necklace is composed of ancient chalcedony beads from Afghanistan 2-3rd Century AD. The beads all are hand cut and drilled in a glorious range of color. The beads speak for themselves, as the beauty of each stone is enhanced by the primitive cutting and polish. Each one was rendered by hand and perfectly positioned to create this necklace. The beads have been interspersed with antique silver Yemenite beads.
The necklace measures 17.5 inches long . The beads range from a central bead of 21.2 mm to the smallest near the clasp of 9.3mm
It has been professionally restrung and has a new "S" clasp appropriate to ancient necklaces.
The imperfections of each bead are commensurate with age, wear and cutting techniques.
It is one of a kind, unique necklace and carries the beauty of the ages.
