This pendant is a unique and beautiful token of love. These pendants were called the "Coin of Love" when they were designed by the famous Parisian firm, Alphonse Augis. It is an artistic rendition of the verse by Rosemond Gerard who wrote to her beloved husband in the year 1907, "For you see, each day I love you more, today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow."
This is a particularly beautiful example and rare to find, as it is decorated with synthetic rubies around the perimeter.
The plus, set with a small central diamond signifies "more" and the minus, set with baguette synthetic rubies, symbolizing "less."
It measures 3/4 inch diameter X 1 inches long with the bail. The size is perfect when worn alone or layered with other pendants.
The pendant is signed the front A.Augis and has French gold guarantee stamps for 18 karat gold.
It is 1 inch across X 1 1/4 inches long with the bail. It weighs 5.2 grams.
Condition is superb. It has not been polished and retains the original, beautiful patina.
The chain is not included with the pendant and is available for sale.
Gift it to someone you love who will cherish its meaning.
This is a token of love to last for a lifetime.
France, circa 1930
