So beautiful and unique in design, this 15 Karat gold, banded agate and diamond pendant is circa 1860. It was created in England and has a diamond star motif set upon a bold striped agate. The star is set with Old Mine Cut diamonds that radiate light with every motion. The reverse of the ball has a glass covered locket with plaited hair. It has the initials LVH and the date July 26, 1860. This would have commented a death by a very wealthy family.
The bold size of 25.8 mm and the radiant diamonds make this an unforgettable and unique jewel. The diamond weight is approximately .3o carats for the center stone and the total weight of .60 carats. The weight is approximate as they were measured without re moving the diamonds from their settings.
The condition is excellent and it is completely original. I have added a chain for demonstration purposes and it is available separately. It is also gorgeous on a black cord or ribbon.
