Quite rare and wonderful, this silver Art Nouveau French chain is circa 1890. It has rare motifs in each plaque of a mythological creature, a chimera. The cheer a ferocious monster was one of the creatures favored in jewelry from this period.
The chain has an unusually long 72 inch length X 3/8ths width and can be doubled/tripled around the neck. It weighs an impressive 66/9 grams of silver. The 800 silver is guaranteed by the boar's head guarantee stamp on the dog clip. The original dog clip fastener can also attach a pendant of choice.
This is a very fine example and easily worn for casual or dress.
