This French love pendant is a unique token of love. They were called the coin of love when they were designed by the famous Parisian firm, Alphonse Augis. The pendant is an artistic rendition of the verse by Rosemond Gerard who wrote to her beloved husband in the year 1907, "For you see, each day I love you more, today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow."
The plus, set with a small central diamond signifies "more" and the minus, set with baguette synthetic rubies, symbolizing "less."
It measures 3/4 inch diameter X 1 inches long with the bail. The size is perfect when worn alone or layered with other pendants.
The pendant is signed the front A.Augis and has French gold guarantee stamps, an eagle on the top loop.
It weighs 3 grams.
Condition is superb. It has not been polished and retains the original, beautiful patina.
The chain is not included with the pendant. I have pictured the pendant with both a chain and a black cord, as it looks superb with either.
This is a token of love to last for a lifetime.
