This sentimental and beautiful 18 karat gold pendant was designed by Alphonse Augis and called the "Coin of Love." It was inspired by the verse of Rosemonde Gerard who wrote to her beloved husband in the year 1907 "For you see, each day I love you more, today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow."
The pendant is the artistic rendition of this verse and is circa 1930 . The + is in diamonds and the - is in synthetic rubies. It is set with synthetic calibre cut rubies and small diamonds. The gold has a beautiful patina and the back can be easily engraved, if desired.
It measures 1 1/8th inches long with the bail and 6/8ths round. There are French guarantee stamps for gold on the "O" ring as pictured. It would look beautiful paired with a simple black cord which I will provide or a gold chain of choice. The black cord I provide has a 14 karat gold clasp.
Wt. 3.9 grams
This is one of the most desirable of the Augis pendants and rare to find. It is a gift to be loved forever.
