This charming fun-filled necklace has two 14 karat gold charms set on a black cord secured with a 14 karat gold clasp. The charms are quirky and wonderful.. They are from the 1950's and 60's when charm bracelets were ever so popular. The two bear a message...."Take chances, roll the dice, but always have a safety net."
The first charm, a small gold box with a hinge set top, is beautifully made and contains two bakelite red dice. It opens and closes securely. The other, is a "Mad Money" charm that has a hammer fashioned in gold, and one side that states "In Emergency Break Glass." The other two sides have a dollar sign, and the words " Mad Money." One side has a glass where a dollar is folded and can be seen.
The dice charm is petite, measuring 5/8ths X 2/8ths and the Mad Money charm 5/8ths X 1/2 inches. They are perfect on this cord, can be used individually or on a charm bracelet.
Both are clearly marked 14 karat. Excellent condition.
