This antique English ring is circa 1870. It has lettering that spells Mizpah which means "The Lord watch between me and thee when we are absent one from another" (Genesis 31:49). This symbolic ring was given to loved ones separated by distance, war, and of course death.
The ring is in superb condition and has fine detailing. It has date letters for 1871 and hallmarks for 18k. It is a size 7 1/2 US and can be sized down. If a larger size is needed the back would lose some of the reeding on the edge.
This is beautiful worn alone as seen in the pictures or stacked with other rings.
