This 15 karat gold, Georgian topaz pendant is circa 1820. Topaz, is rare to find in Georgian jewelry and is coveted by collectors. The stones in this pendant have a large table, are faceted around the perimeter, and are foiled back. Each stone is hand set in crimped, rub over collets. During this period of time, stones were characteristically closed back and the the foil enhances the vibrancy. The result is an indescribable beautiful hue.

The pendant measures 1 3/8ths inches down and 1 3/8ths inches across. The length with the bale is 1 1/2 inches.

Condition is excellent. There is a negligible ding on the reverse

This can be worn with a gold chain of choice , a ribbon, or cord. Wear it long or at the neckline, and it is uniquely beautiful.
