These French, large, white paste earrings are outstanding in their size and radiance. I have not had a pair like these for several years. They beautifully replicate diamond earrings of the period, utilizing 18 karat gold and silver. The bottom stone equates to over 2 carats and the top about 6 pts. The stone is the desirable cushion cut, and it is closed in the back, not with foil, but 18 karat gold. This gives the stone extra brilliance and it is almost impossible to detect that these are not real diamonds. The stones are much whiter/brighter than captured in the pictures.
They measure 5/8ths inches long X 3/8ths inches across the bottom stone. They open and close securely with lever backs. I search for these on every trip to Paris. These are exceptionally well made and in excellent condition. They retain a French guarantee stamp for 18 karat gold on the ear wire. France, circa 1900
