These antique French cufflinks are designed with mythological dragons. The motifs of griffins,chimera and dragons, were popular with jewelry designers during the Art Nouveau period. They are finely modeled with fine pierced and chased gold work. The links have a secure folding mechanism that have the word Depose and a French guarantee mark for 18 karat gold, the head of an eagle. The word Depose was used on jewelry that had an exclusive French patent.
They measure slightly less than 9/10 ths of an inch across and weigh 11.3 grams.
The condition is excellent and the patina,rich and original.
