Vintage Sapphire Diamond Gold Earrings

Vintage sapphire and diamond earrings set in 18k gold (tested); these are part of a set with a matching brooch (previously listed) and are a fine example of mid century craftsmanship and typify the elegance of jewellery from that era. These beautiful earrings would have been worn by an elegant lady for a lunch date or cocktail party. They are each formed of a floral garland of 8-cut diamonds linked by a pavé of diamonds and a ribbon motif set with sapphires of an intense blue shade. Total diamond weight: 0.70ct; sapphire weight: 1.40ct. To the reverse, the earrings are set with a clip and post fitting for added security. Weight: 12.30gm. Measurements: 3cm x 2cm (1 1/4″ x 3/4″). Stamped 18k and tested as 18k gold. The earrings are in excellent condition and date from the 1950s. Ref: L066
