Victorian sapphire and diamond bangle in 18ct gold; this is a truly magnificent bangle formed of 5 royal blue, oval facetted sapphires which have been certified as Untreated, and weigh a total of 3cts. The sapphires are alternately set with 6 Old European Cut diamonds weighing 2.38ct. The diamonds are bright, white and loupe clean. In between the stones, set into the claws are small rose cut diamond accents, and all the stones are mounted over a carved and scrolled gallery. This is fine Victorian workmanship using high quality stones and it is rare to find pieces of this quality. Tested as 18ct gold. The clasp is a push-in and closes with a click; there is also a safety chain fitted for added security. Weight 12.8gms. Internal diameter; 2.25″/5.75cms so the bangle will comfortably fit an average sized wrist. This beautiful bangle is in excellent vintage condition and dates from the 1880s. The bangle is sold accompanied by the certificate stating the sapphires to be Unheated.
