A very rare and complete old pharmacy set in a travel suitcase
The travel pharmacy is in very good overall condition. It shows normal signs of wear commensurate to its age, This stunning item is European probably German and is believed to be very early 19th century.
The case, complete with an ornate clasp, six center bottles and two small side bottles. Integrated into the design are five small pull out drawers for powders and pills. At the back of the suitcase is an integrated folder for storing small papers etc. Each of the center bottles are individually numbered both on the bottle and on the top. There are also a few printed and unused labels with the suitcase.
The case measures 26cm x 8cm x 10cm (10.2in x 3.1in x 3.9cm)
These are very rare items and it is highly unusual to find an example so complete and in such good overall condition.
The 8 apothecary bottles are hand-blown with engraved lid numbers match the engraved bottle numbers
