This is an early 18th Century Oak Gate leg Dining Table. It is about 300 years old, dating to around 1720
It has deep oval leaves, tapered 'gun barrel' turned legs and worn square stretchers. The drawer is hung on side rails.
It will seat 4 - 6 people
The table is robust and usable.
It has had many old, honest repairs. One of the gate stretchers has been braced at some time and re tenoned, and there are additional braces under each table leaf. The repairs are all old and need no apology. The joints are tight, and the table is structurally sound, solid and usable.
It has excellent deep nut brown colour and a very lovely patina.
