The focal point of this brooch are the multitude of gorgeous rose cut diamonds. These lovely diamonds measures in at a cumulative 0.30 carats and are sparkly and eye clear. These gorgeous precious stones were specifically faceted to catch and reflect light as the brooch moves, adding a glamorous sparkle to the lovely item. The backdrop of this gorgeous pools of light brooch is the cabochon cut quartz that makes up the body of the brooch. Traditionally, pools of light jewelry consist of clear glass or quartz beads wrapped in wire, which are specifically designed to catch and reflect light into small "pools" around them.
This gorgeous item is similar in that it illuminates and spreads pools of light as it moves. The rose cut diamonds are set into the .900 platinum applied accent, which in turn is attached to the quartz stone itself.
The body of the brooch is composed of 18k white gold, and was made in the popular Gatsby style. This signet pools of light brooch would have been incredibly fashionable during the Art Deco era, as signet rings were a popular way to show power during that era. The initials that make up the monogram on this item are "AW." The initials are outlined using milgrain edging. The pin stem has an closing "C" clasp for a more secure wear. Condition: Age appropriate wear. There is at least one rose cut diamond missing, which is hard to notice unless one is looking for it. There is some very minor scratching on the back of the brooch, from the item being tested at some point in its history.
