A vintage Hoosier glass spice jar with Pepper in embossed letters. These type of spice jars were used in the popular oak kitchen cabinets made back in the 1920’s by companies like Hoosier & Sellers. The screw on aluminum lid is a later replacement and fits well. Due to the manufacturing process, the old glass has a few bubbles and straw marks in it. The glass has turned slightly purple from age. The inside of the top edge has some roughness which is common with these old kitchen jars. The jar is just shy of 5 inches tall and 2 ¼ inches tall which makes it slightly taller than most of these type of jars. We also have listed a matching jar for Mace.
