A vintage Hoosier glass spice jar with Mace in embossed letters. These were used in the popular oak kitchen cabinets made back in the 1920’s by companies like Hoosier & Sellers. The screw on aluminum lid is a later replacement and fits well. The old glass has a few bubbles in it and has taken on a slight purple hue. The inside of the top edge has a small chip and some roughness which is common with these old kitchen jars. The jar is just shy of 5 inches tall and 2 ¼ inches tall, which makes it taller than most of these type of jars. We also have listed a matching jar for pepper.
