A large Walnut Victorian hall mirror with hand carved details including serpents, gargoyles, the old man of the north and floral and foliate elements. On either side is an umbrella holder with metal drip pan. In the center is another removable metal insert with handles, possibly for wet boots or galoshes. A nice piece for an entry or hallway. It has 4 turned feet, but must be placed against a wall for stability.
The original finish is not perfect and as you would expect, it does show some wear after many years, but it is not excessive. The beveled mirror is original and beginning to show age imperfections. Two of the cast brass coat and hat hooks are intact, the other two are missing the top section.
The overall height is 84 inches. The width at the removable crown is 65 inches and the width below the crown is 6 feet. Depth is 14 inches.
