A large chest of drawers with a hat box and mirror. These are often referred to as Texas highboys because they are larger than standard size dressers. There are 2 smaller drawers next to the hat box and 3 large drawers. This piece has been completely restored. The satin lacquer finish is smooth and even and the drawers slide in and out easily. They are also finished on the inside. The chest was constructed with paneled sides for added strength and stability. The hardware has been polished, but will darken with time. The dresser was made from mixed woods (ash, elm and maple).
The overall height with mirror is 73 inches. The case itself is 49 inches tall, the width is 34 ½ inches and depth is 20 inches.
