This little vintage chair from the mid 20th century is marked with the Heywood Wakefield logo on the bottom of the seat. This type of chair was widely used in elementary schools during the mid century. The metal frame has the original medium green paint and the seat and back are made of maple. At some point in time, someone decided the chair needed some flower power. So, they painted the back and seat with cheerful yellow sunflowers. This is a sturdy chair and it would be perfect in a little girl’s room.
The original green paint does have wear and also some rust showing through in a few places. After many years of use in a school setting, the wood also shows signs of wear.
The chair is 24 inches tall. The seat is 14 inches wide and 12 ¾ inches deep. The height of the seat when measuring from the floor to the top of the seat is 11 ½ inches
