Great for storing many different things, this quarter sawn oak stacking file cabinet would also make an interesting end table beside a chair or sofa. These were often used in office and libraries. Some folks like to re-purpose these old file drawers for an unusual wine rack. There are 5 sections, each with 2 drawers. The sections sit on a base. The drawers have metal pulls with a space for a label. Inside there is a sliding metal stop that adjusts to support the contents of the drawer. The finish is smooth and even, and the stain color brings out the quarter sawn grain of the wood. This piece has been refinished and it's a sturdy piece, not wobbly at all.
The overall height is 32 inches, width is 15 1/4 inches and depth is 15 1/4 inches. The inside drawer dimensions are 12 inches long, 6 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches tall. Index cards, postcards, cds (at an angle) could all be stored in the drawers. Weight prior to packing is 55 pounds. Fedex Ground would be the best way to ship this - we can get a quote for you if we have your zip code.
