I feel fortunate to have been able to own two of these wonderful dolls. I don't have any information on who made them and I estimate they are from the 1950's. It has been suggested they are by Pedigree, but I don't believe that to be the case. They have more character features, less of a baby face than the Pedigree dolls in my opinion. The facial modeling on these is just beautiful and they have a very lively expression. I'm reluctant to offer them for sale, as they are very seldom found but I am making a concentrated effort to downsize.
This is the blue dress girl. She is wearing a textured cotton sky blue dress that I added (it has no closures and is just pinned). I got this and the same dress in green because even though I got the girls at different times, I've always thought of them as sisters and thought the matching dresses would be nice. This doll came with a powder blue rayon dress with navy blue dots and rick rack, and white cotton panties (loose elastic on these). This dress will also be included. She also came with the white rubber shoes and white nylon socks. I got her years ago from a seller in Germany who indicated the clothing was original. The wig is black synthetic and is a little bit matted in places, and does break off a bit. This may brush out, but I never messed with it. It is pulled back in a pony tail with curly bangs (I added the ribbon). The brown glass eyes are amazing. They open and close as well as flirt from side to side. You can see that it is plastic that has been painted very dark brown since there are some areas of wear on the face and body. She is jointed at the hips and shoulders and her neck is jointed. The joints are fairly tight, nothing flopping. I have not removed her shoes or socks. You can see her companion in the green dress in the last photo. She is listed separately.
US shipping only. I am in the process of downsizing my collection and looking to find new homes for some of my dolls.
