*Important Note*: If you want to pay using Paypal, please choose other online payment and wait for me to send you a Paypal request. Ruby Lane now requires sellers to have a Paypal Business account, which requires too much automatic access to my account. For this reason you cannot automatically pay with Paypal in my shop, but I can manually send you an invoice and you can complete your purchase that way.
Here is a super-sized cardboard Easter egg. It is covered with glossy, colorful gold paper featuring violets, pansies, pussy willows, snowdrops, daffodils and others flowers along with a few birds. There are remnants of Dresden paper lace trim around the inner edges. It has three yellow bows inserted through the lid, one on the bottom and another yellow ribbon inserted as a hinge. I haven’t see this treatment on others, so maybe it was a specific treatment added by FAO Schwartz. The interior is lined with pink floral printed paper that shows made in West Germany. It is also filled with what looks to be the original grassy substance. The egg is in good condition with just some minimal wear to the edges – the outer paper is bright and undamaged. The outer box has a pastel yellow, pink and blue Easter print and a gold embossed FAO Schwartz label on the top and another FAO inventory label on the side. The box shows some wear and fading. There is a tear to the lid rim and some reinforcing paper on the inside of the lid, along with some old tape marks on top. It is a wonderful survivor and one of the pictures shows it with a 7 inch doll and some vintage flowers which are all for display purposes only. Approximate measurements: 11” at the longest part,6.5 inches wide and 7” top to bottom. The box measures 11 3/8 x 7 3/4 x 7 3/4 inches. US shipping only - priority insured only.
