This sweet and petite poured wax doll is just 7.5" tall! She has lovely ice blue glass eyes and a pale blond mohair wig that is glued on her head. She has wax arms and lower legs with bare feet. Her body is cloth and stuffed with excelsior I believe. She is wearing a gauze slip and a pale pink skirt with a floral white print and layers of lace accents. Over that is a pale blue long over dress or jacket. The fabric has a flower print woven into it . Matching lace trims the sleeves along with a long pale blue velvet bow in the front. She has a wired chenille crown on her head that is decorated with iridescent glass beads and a blue flower. All of the coloring makes a lovely presentation. I don't know her exact age, but I'm guessing somewhere around 1900-1910 - but this is just a guess. Also, very hard to tell, but here may be some old repairs to the arms and shoulderplate. The only reason I say this is that there is a slight color change. You would not notice unless you really studied the pieces. She looks like a fairy, but has no wings! Just a lovely little doll and would be a nice addition to any collection.
