Germany, c. 1920's Here's a sweet little Bye-Lo Baby with blue sleep eyes and celluloid hands. She is on a cloth, frog-type body and is wearing what I was told is her original clothes. She has a long cotton slip and lace trimmed gown and a lace trimmed cotton bonnet with pink ribbon accents. Her bisque is perfect and is marked 1923 Grace S. Putnam, Made in Germany. There is one smudge on the back with did lighten a bit, but I could not completely remove it. I have not fully undressed her, but from what I can see, the body looks to be in good condition. She has a nice complexion and as mentioned, tiny blue glass eyes with eye wax intact. Her head circumference is 10.5" and her total length is about 11". She also has some added extras including, knit stockings a pink cotton flannel hooded robe, a pink reversible Esmond bunny blanket and a pink hand-knitted blanket. These are really sweet and it was said that the artist modeled the Bye-Lo from a 3 day old infant.
