USA - c. 1930's Wood doll cradle made by Lullabye Furniture Corporation, Stevens Point, Wisconsin. A nice vintage cradle with lots of unique history. Measure 20" long x 9" wide at the top, but 9 1/4" high at the tallest point. I looked up Lullabye Furniture was formerly located on 1020 First Street, Stevens Point WI and went out of business in 1995. The label reads selected for 1933 (I think it's a World's Fair Logo). Lullabye, est. 1897 / Steven's Point, Wis / Chicago - New York. The label has some chips and the finish has some age related wear, a chipped corner and there is some old tape residue inside but it's basically sturdy. I found something online that showed this same cradle and said it was a souvenir of the 1933 Chicago World's Fair - A century of progress. It went on to say that is was a reproduction of an 1842 cradle hand made by Elias Freer and that the original was displayed by the Lullabye Furniture Corp in it's World's Fair Exhibits. It's a nice accessory for many types of dolls. I've added some quilts and displayed early dolls in it and it is just fine for them too. This would be large and somewhat heavy box. Retail ground price to CA is showing over $50. I can see if UPS Ground would be less expensive once the cradle is purchased. US shipping only-my shipping amounts are estimates until the item is packaged and destination zip code is added. I promptly refund any shipping over charges.
