Six Piece Antique Doll Outfit
c. 1900 -1920
This is from the original owner (sadly – no doll). There is a dress, lace hat, lace purse, pantalettes and two petticoats. They are being modeled by a 24" German compo body doll and the size seems correct. All of the pieces are in good condition with just some minor issues. They are just off white, not sure if they would launder to white. They seem to have the original sizing in the fabric. The dress has a top that blouses over the waist and is covered by a large collar. There is a lot of lovely lace trim. No closures on the dress. There is some damage to the lace on the bottom, a tiny hole on the front bib collar, a mend on the left sleeve, a tear on the back seam and a few tiny holes here and there. The lace bonnet is in decent shape with just some tears to the gauze lining. The petticoats and pantalettes have matching lace, no closures. The pantalettes have tears at each seam and a hole where there would be a closure. Approximate measurements: Dress – shoulder to shoulder: 6 ¾", neck to waist: 6 ¾", waist to hem: 9 ½", waist (flat): 6 ¼", sleeve – shoulder to cuff: 4 ½". Hat – across opening: 4"; across brim: 9". Purse: 3" x 2". Petticoats: Waist flat – 5"; waist to hem: 10". Pantalettes: Waist flat: 6"; waist to hem: 9 ½". Nice set for a bisque head doll.
