Germany, c. 1915-1925
This sweet little bisque doll has the best clothing. She is a later doll with black hair and nicely painted features with rosy cheeks. She has a cloth body with bisque lower limbs. She has molded boots, but they are not painted. Her great feature is her organdie dress and matching bonnet. The dress may have been white, or maybe it was always cream colored. For such a small dress, the clothing has amazing details. The dress is trimmed with black lace and soutache ribbon. She has a great matching bonnet and has a matching bouquet tied to her wrist. Underneath is just as great...with a very detailed petticoat and matching pantalettes both with pin tucks and lace trim. The little dress closes with a snap. The back of the head is incised Germany with the number 51 painted in red. Nice little original doll with just a slight amount of age soiling.
