Origin unknown, c. 1st Qtr, 20th Century.
I was told these were WWI Doughboys. They are all original with molded boots and cloth hats. They are in played-with condition, but held up well assuming they were a little boy's toy soldiers. They have molded hair and painted features and are jointed at the hips and shoulders. Again, wear to their original outfits and finish with minor chips on hands and feet, but they are so unusual. I've never seen any others. These (and 3 others) were found in a bag in a Pennsylvania attic - that's all I know of their history. I have them displayed with small Unis France girls of the same era and they're very cute! US Shipping Only.
