In 1879 Phillip Rosenthal established the Rosenthal Porcelain Factory in Selb, Bavaria. Its earliest products were figurines and fine tableware. The company has continued to operate to the present decade, manufacturing primarily limited edition plates. This beautiful round pierced cake plate with cut handles, circa 1980 is the Florida pattern #3010, which included a full line of quality tableware. The soft ivory background is covered with a floral garden in colors of rose, yellow and blue accented with green leaves. The trim and pierced portions is decorated with gold. Measuring 11 7/8" across the handles, it is a beautiful serving piece with no cracks, chips or repairs. The green mark is "Rosenthal - Krohach - Germany - Moliere" and gold "Florida - 50"
