Although this toothpick hold is unmarked, I am sure it is from the R S Germany Companies. The "RS" is derived from its founder Reinhold Schlegelmilch, but it was the work of his sons that made the mark famous. With factories in Suhl and Tillowitz the majority of their production was exported from 1892 until the beginning of WWI. This lovely and scarce 3-handle toothpick holder is attributed to them. Circa 1910-1920, it is decorated with a large pink rose with green leaves in one panel and a branch of leaves in the other two panels, all against a background of white with tan and green highlights. The rim and handles are trimmed in gold. It stands 2 1/4" Tall and has no cracks, chips or repairs. A super item for the toothpick or fine china collector.
