Items marked 'Occupied Japan' were produced during the period from the end of World War II until April 18, 1952, when the occupation ended. By no means was all of the ware exported during that time marked 'Occupied Japan'; some as marked 'Japan' or 'Made in Japan'. This grouping of items are all from that era. The Oriental Man figurine stands 4 1/2" tall; the little girl holding an open book along with the little boy holding a container of grain with a pig standing by him are both 2 3/8" in height; the tree-stump planter with panda bear is 3" high and 3 1/2" across. These four items are each marked "Made in Occupied Japan". The Toby jug stands 3 3/4" high and 3 1/2" from spout to handle and is marked "Japan". All the items are free of cracks, chips, nicks or repairs.
