Walter Scott and Jonathan Cox founded the Ceramic Art Company in Trenton, New Jersey, in 1889. In 1906 when Cox left the company, the name was changed to Lenox Inc. These lovely demi-tasse cups and saucers are the Antoinette-Ivory pattern M356, and were produced from 1937 - 1974. All cream background with a heavy gold encrusted laurel band with gold handle and trim. The saucers are 4 3/4" across and the cups are 2 1/2" across and 2 1/4" tall. Each piece is marked with an "L" within a wreath and "Antoinette By Lenox M-356 Made In U.S.A." There are no cracks, chips, nicks or repairs. Simply beautiful. Three (sets of 4) are available.
