Set of 6 - Haviland China "Poppy" Luncheon Plates
The Haviland China Company was organized in 1840 in Limoges, France, by David Haviland, a New York china importer. This lovely "Poppy" pattern is a profusion of pastel pink poppy flowers among soft gray-green leaves. They are on the popular Schleiger #19, blank #3, also better known as Silver Anniversary. This set is circa 1903 - 1931 and carries the Haviland marks circa 1894 - 1931. The luncheon plates measure 8 1/2" across and are marked "Haviland France - Haviland & Co. - Limoges". There are no cracks, chips, or repairs; some very light if any gold wear on trim. Would combine beautifully with plain white or Silver Anniversary Haviland.
