The Alfred Meakin, Royal Albert, Victoria and Highgate Potteries, Tunstall, Staffordshire was established in 1875. These lovely blue transfer bone dishes in the "Clifton" pattern are circa 1891 - 1897. The word "Ltd" was added to the mark after this period. The flowers resemble zinnias or chrysanthemums and are a striking slate-blue color. The bone dishes are 6 1/2" inches in length and 3 1/4" in width with scalloped edge with no trim. The mark is a crown and "Clifton, Royal Semi-Porcelain, Alfred Meakin, England". There are no cracks, chips, nicks or repairs; some very light crazing and utensil marks due to age and usage. I also have a set of 5 with minor manufacturing flaws and damage. Ask if interested.
