This lovely transfer & hand painted Jug/Pitcher, circa 1890's, was created the factory decorating studio of Tressemann & Vogt.

The piece is decorated with gorgeous transfer design of chrysanthemum blossoms and buds, on long brown stems, in a stunning shade of crimson, with yellow centers, nestled among shaded green leafage against a creamy background. The floral display is enhanced with gold detailing, emerald green band, base and handle with gold striping and gold decorated rim.

The white-ware jug/pitcher is marked in green "T&V" within a rectangle and blue decorator mark of Tressemann & Vogt Limoges in a circle. These are the marks of Gustave Vogt and Emilien Tressemann who partnered in the early 1880's to produce high quality white-ware for Europe and export to the USA. The company closed in 1919. The pitcher/jug measures 7 1/8" in height, 4 3/4" from spout-to-handle and 3 1/2" across the base. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint.
