The Royal Worcester Porcelain factory was founded in 1751 by Dr. John Ward and a group of local businessmen with a Royal Warrant from King George III. The company celebrated its 250th anniversary in 2001.

This exquisite :Blush Ivory" demi-tasse cup and saucer is profusely decorated with various floral motifs with gold detailing. The ring handle, base and rims are further gold enhanced. The cup measures 2 3/4" across and 2 5/8" in height; the saucer measures 5 3/8" across. The cup and saucer are individually marked with the Royal Worcester logo and date mark "Z" designating the year 1888. Both pieces are also marked "W 1699" and "HS". The condition is mint with no chips, cracks, repairs or signs of wear. Probably spent it's entire life in a curio cabinet.

Note: the background is a lovely buttery cream shade, not reflected in the photos.
