Franz Detleff Goebel and his son William founded the F & W Goebel Company in 1871, located in Rodental, Germany.

“Not to know a rule in art and break it is bad art, but to know a rule and break it is good art. Only by knowing the rules and breaking them will one develop an individual style.” – DeGrazia

A true Renaissance man, DeGrazia experimented with all forms of artistic expression, from oils and watercolors, sketches to ceramics and bronze sculptures though his main focus was oil painting.

This darling ornament is entitled "flower girl" by the master, Ettore (Ted) De Grazia and the Goebel Company. The ornament measures 3 1/4" in height and is fully marked "Goebel W Germany 1986 (TMK-6 mark, circa 1979-1990); "88" and initials of the decorator; also marked "De Grazia" on the backside. There are no cracks, chips or repairs; near mint, original box is missing.
