Franz Detleff Goebel and his son William founded the F & W Goebel Company in 1871, located in Rodental, Germany.

“Not to know a rule in art and break it is bad art, but to know a rule and break it is good art. Only by knowing the rules and breaking them will one develop an individual style.” – DeGrazia

A true Renaissance man, DeGrazia experimented with all forms of artistic expression, from oils and watercolors, sketches to ceramics and bronze sculptures though his main focus was oil painting.
