Hand painted china is beautiful and unique as it portrays the artists emotions and visions for the subject he or she is creating. This lovely, whimsical, hand painted cabinet plate was created in a small home studio environment by a talented individual with a creative imagination and attention to detail. It is plate 2 of 4 from a collection by "Mabel H", a contemporary artist, circa 1960-1990. The pieces are on unmarked porcelain blanks and are signed by the artist.
This darling plate, entitled "Forget-me-not" depicts a boy and his girl walking hand-in-hand as though in deep thought and conversation. Scattered clusters of forget-me-not blossoms and leafage further enhance the central motif of the plate. The wide border is pale violet shade with narrow gold edge. What a great way to express your love on any occasion.
