Hand painted porcelain is so beautiful, no matter if executed in a professional studio, factory decorating department or in a small home studio environment. The artistry and attention to detail is what really matters to produce a piece of art.
This beautiful Contemporary Hand Painted Charger Plate, circa 1960-1990, was executed by a talented artist on an unmarked porcelain blank. The charger features four huge tea rose blossoms and an opening bud in pastel shades of pink, white and peach, nestled among shaded foliage in variegated shades of gray, green, blue, brown and umber, against a muted background of white, green, tan and umber. The outer 1/2" border and under-side of the charger has an iridescent finish that is stunning.
The charger measures 12" across and is artist signed on the front "Ruth A Yount". There are no cracks, chips, paint damage or repairs; near mint. Lovely.
